On our third and final part of this blog we arrive at the chilly warehouse, where we meet Graham, our warehouse manager. Graham enjoys looking after house plants. At the moment his particular passion is for the carnivorous variety…. The venus flytrap.
Grahams tip’s for healthy indoor plant’s are to use rain water sparingly and frequently also to keep them in a well-ventilated room.
When I think of a Venus Fly Trap I think of the film, Day of the Triffids, where monstrous, ferocious, carnivorous plants make a bid to take over the Earth. The film makes out that the plants are from out-of-space, however they are in fact Graham’s current favourite the Venus flytrap, a real beauty with a wild side, I must get one!
Another interesting indoor plant that I have discovered recently goes by the name of Dracaena Sanderiana, commonly known as Lucky Bamboo. It is thought in the Far East, that this interesting plant brings good fortune, therefore, it is often given as a gift. Whether it brings me those lucky numbers or not, it looks smashing on my little coffee table.
Well, I do hope you have enjoyed meeting myself and a few of our super team here in Spalding, until next time!
