Both Anne and I are big fans of Clematis. They make great climbers and with wonderful flowers it is easy to see why they are some of the most popular plants amongst gardeners. I returned to Spalding last weekend to find that my Nelly Moser that I had planted in 2012 has really begun to take off.
I had planted it in a pot along with two other varieties and then trailed them up an obelisk. The pots are quite deep (18 inches or more) and it is really important to follow a regular watering regime, you must keep the compost moist.
These two pictures were taken last Sunday morning. I love the large pinkish flowers. In time these will fade as for part of the day there is some quite strong sun (when we get it!)
